Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Sunday that its forces had recaptured settlements in western Kursk region seized by Ukraine last August, and said its forces also advanced in Ukraine's Sumy region. Russia’s advances come before the start of peace talks on the Ukraine war, with Ukrainian and US negotiators meeting next week in Saudi Arabia.
