Pope's condition 'complex', hospital stay extended

Pope Francis is facing a "complex clinical picture", said the Vatican on Monday, adding that he will remain in hospital for as long as necessary. The 88-year-old was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on Friday for treatment and tests for a "polymicrobial infection" of his respiratory tract.
