EU pledges to boost defense spending to ensure Ukraine security

European leaders sought to portray unity in Paris on Monday, pledging at an Ukraine Summit to "unlock" billions of Euros in the event that the US restricts its military aid to Ukraine. US President Donald Trump announced he would sideline Ukraine and its European as the US and Russian delegations prepare to meet in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to carry out bilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine: "Defense spending will no longer be treated as excessive spending," said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
