Cannes celebrates ‘Mission: Impossible’, a global franchise with a French connection

Tom Cruise returned to the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday for the global premiere of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, which may or may not be the saga’s final episode, going full circle on a French connection that began three decades ago with a memorable first instalment starring Jean Reno and Emmanuelle Béart.
