Amid a nationwide drop in vaccination rates, a measles outbreak in Texas left an unvaccinated child dead, authorities said on Wednesday. The first US fatality from the disease since 2015 was announced as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has long supported debunked falsehoods on vaccines and recently minimised the current measles surge, begins his term as the head of Health and Human Services.
