Trump, Netanyahu tout possible Gaza ceasefire, dodge two-state solution question
France 24 correspondent Fraser Jackson reports from Washington, DC, after US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met over dinner on Monday to discuss pathways to ending Israel's war against Hamas in Gaza. Netanyahu laid on the charm, saying he had recommended Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize award, while Trump asserted that Hamas supported a ceasefire deal his administration had helped broker, but both heads of state dodged a question on whether a two-state solution was possible between Israel and Palestine.
