Britons urged to help measure butterfly recovery after 2024 slump

<p>Big Butterfly Count asks volunteers to spend 15 minutes recording numbers in local green space before 10 August</p><p>People are being urged to help measure the scale of Britain’s butterfly bounceback after last summer’s dramatic decline with this year’s launch of the world’s biggest insect survey.</p><p>The <a href="https://bigbutterflycount.butterfly-conservation.org/">Big Butterfly Count</a> asks volunteers to spend 15 minutes in a local green space counting the butterflies and day-flying moths they see.
