Retired French surgeon accused of abusing hundreds of children ‘ready to admit’ to some rapes

Joël Le Scouarnec, a former French surgeon on trial for abusing hundreds of children during his long career, on Monday said he was ready to admit to some of the many rapes he has been accused of. "Today I feel ready to admit to some acts of rape that I have wanted to hide, deny," he told the court. Le Scouarnec recorded many of his abuses in a diary-like manner.
