Israeli gunshots, strikes kill 25 Palestinians, many awaiting aid at Gaza checkpoint

At least 25 Gazans were killed by Israeli airstrikes and gunfire overnight, the majority shot as they waited for aid trucks close to the Zikim crossing with Israel, staff at a Gaza hospital, where the bodies were brought, said Saturday. Ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas appear to have hit an impasse, as the US and Israel recalled their negotiating teams.
