Support for hardline anti-immigration policies linked to ignorance about migration figures, poll suggests – UK politics live
<p>Almost half of voters either strongly or somewhat support ‘admitting no more new migrants and requiring large numbers who came in recent years to leave’, says YouGov</p><p><strong>Sunder Katwala</strong>, director of British Future, a thinktank focusing on immigration and identity, has an interesting<a href="https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:refbwihhzcqqfulwhcou44sr/post/3lvnfalrcys2o"> thread on Bluesky</a> looking at the YouGov immigration polling. He is interested in what it reveals about the extent of support for racist/extremist views.
