Israel's security cabinet approves plan to take over Gaza City

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said early Friday that his security cabinet approved a plan to take over Gaza City in a further escalation of its 22-month war with Hamas. Israel's offensive on the devastated territory has already killed more than 60,000 Palestinians, displaced most of the population and pushed the country towards famine.
