Atlanta shooter dead and officer injured after shots at Emory campus and CDC

<p>Police say ‘no ongoing threat … single shooter is deceased’ after witnesses say bullets struck windows of CDC buildings</p><p>Police and the FBI responded to a report of an active shooter near the Atlanta campus of Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Georgia on Friday.</p><p>Atlanta police <a href="https://x.com/Atlanta_Police/status/1953950275687133346">said</a> just after 6.40pm local time there was “no ongoing threat to the Emory campus or the surrounding neighborhood. The incident involved a single shooter, who is now deceased.
