Essence of Chura!

All the married women wear chura.

During the day of their wedding.

In the Chura ceremony, the bride is not allowed to see it.

Until the evening just before her wedding.

Some ladies love wearing a bigger one.

Whereas some wear a smaller one.

These are red or maroon bangles.

Indicates for their would-be husbands.

The bride’s maternal uncle and aunt give it to the bride.

If the bride doesn’t have any of them.

Then the bride’s parents put her Chura on by themselves.

It is essential for all women to wear one in Hinduism.
