ASEAN summit: Southeast Asian bloc aims to strengthen ties with GCC

China has urged ASEAN member states and Gulf nations to consolidate their trade and investment ties in response to the threat of a global trade war.
China's premier Li Qiang and several leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council attended the second day of a summit of the trading bloc in Malaysia.
They discussed ways to insulate their economies from the impact of US tariffs.
