Violence between herdsmen and farmers in Taraba kills over 50, villages deserted

Violence between nomadic herdsmen and indigenous farmers in Nigeria’s Taraba state has killed more than 50 people over the weekend. The attacks started in the village of Bandawa and quickly spread to nearby villages including Mungalelau and Mungadoso. As a result, half the residents of Mungalelau have deserted their homes, fleeing the escalating violence and insecurity.

Al Jazeera’s Ahmed Idris reports from the village of Mungalelau.
