Hamas says ceasefire proposal offers ‘no guarantees’ for end to Gaza war

Hamas has submitted its response to a ceasefire deal proposed by the US and is calling for amendments.
The group says it wants a permanent end to the war.
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff says Hamas' response is unacceptable.

Tamer Qarmout, an associate professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, says the ongoing ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel are taking place with “no good faith whatsoever”.
