Interview: German Chancellor Merz on his meeting with Donald Trump | DW News

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has described himself as "extremely satisfied" with his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
Speaking shortly after the much-anticipated White House visit, Merz stressed the importance of the United States in stopping the war in Ukraine. The chancellor said he had urged Trump to put pressure on Russia to end its aggression against Kyiv. DW chief political editor, Michaela Küfner, spoke with Chancellor Merz.
