California seeks court order to stop Trump’s troop deployment to Los Angeles

California has asked a federal judge to issue a restraining order to halt the Trump administration’s deployment of military forces to Los Angeles. The request comes amid growing unrest since Saturday, when President Trump sent in National Guard troops and marines to control demonstrations against federal immigration raids.
