Spending Review: How will the Chancellor balance the books?

The Chancellor has announced a £14 billion investment in nuclear energy as part of the Spending Review which she will present to Parliament on Wednesday.

Rachel Reeves will update MPs on the budgets being allocated to government departments until 2030 but the Chancellor and the Prime Minister face pressure to explain where extra spending on the winter fuel allowance, defence and extra free school meals will come from.
