Russian nuclear workers in Iran: Putin says Israel has agreed to ensure their safety

President Vladimir Putin says Russia has been in touch with Israel about its workers in Iran. Putin acknowledged that there are Russians working at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in southern Iran. He said Israel had agreed to ensure their safety. He called for an end to fighting between Israel and Iran. He also indicated Russia would be ready to continue its work on nuclear energy with Iran - while guaranteeing Israel's security.
