Vast portraits of people and animals and intricate geometric patterns drawn in the sand, only to be washed away again by the sea hours later: this is the work of French artist Pierre-Louis Cullier, for whom the sandy beaches of the French Atlantic coast are giant canvases. “This ephemeral aspect brings a unique side to each day’s work,” he says. “Every day is different and that's what I like”.
