Israel says it is conducting airstrikes against southern Iran. In earlier operations, it killed three senior Iranian military commanders. Israeli warplanes also struck an important nuclear facility south of the capital, Tehran. The Israeli army has repeatedly said it is targeting military installations, but Iranian officials say most of those killed and wounded are civilians.
