LIVE: View of Doha as explosions heard over Qatar capital

A view of Doha’s skyline, Qatar’s capital, as explosions were heard, a Reuters witness reported, shortly after a Western diplomat said there had been a credible Iranian threat against the U.S.-run Al Udeid air base in the Gulf Arab state since midday. The 24-hectare base, the largest U.S. base in the Middle East, houses around 10,000 troops.
