Iranian strikes on US bases: Intentionally limited or just the beginning? | DW News
Iran has launched missile strikes against US forces in the Gulf. Tehran says the strikes came in response to the US bombing of key nuclear sites in the country at the weekend.
Explosions were seen over Qatar on Monday evening after the country closed its airspace. No casualties have been reported. And it's also been reported that Iran informed the US in advance of the attack on the Al Udeid Airbase.
US President Donald Trump visited the base last month, calling it a signal of US strength. About ten thousand US troops are stationed at Al Udeid, which is the regional headquarters of US Central Command.
