Pakistan flash floods kill at least 20 as monsoon rains intensify

At least 20 people have died in flash floods across Pakistan as the country begins its annual monsoon season. Torrential rainfall has caused widespread damage, sweeping away homes and roads. Officials are warning that heavier-than-usual rains could bring further floods and landslides in the coming days. Pakistan, ranked among the top five countries most affected by climate change according to the Global Climate Risk Index, continues to face worsening climate-related disasters.
