Jeremy Corbyn confirms new political party

Jeremy Corbyn has broken his silence to confirm he's setting up a new political party with his fellow former Labour MP Zarah Sultana.

In a new post, the former Labour leader said: "The democratic foundations of a new kind of political party will soon take shape."

"Discussions are ongoing - and I am excited to work alongside all communities to fight for the future people deserve."
