Violence returns to northwest Nigeria as attacks revive tensions over peace talks with armed groups

Attacks on communities in Nigeria’s Kaduna state have caused fears of a return to violence - after a peace deal with bandits.
The attacks in Birnin Gwari killed several civilians and caused panic - in a state that is dealing with mass killings and abductions.
