What impact did Xi's and Putin's absence from this year's BRICS summit? | DW News

-Countries aligned with the growing BRICS alliance have denounced tariff threats made by US President Donald Trump, saying they endanger global trade.
Although the BRICS declaration did not name Donald Trump directly, he hit back by threatening an additional 10 per cent levy on countries that align with the bloc's policies. The 11-nation grouping of mostly developing countries includes US allies such as Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
