Beetle infestation in hot temperatures threaten medieval texts in Hungary
Librarians at a medieval abbey in Hungary are battling a beetle infestation that is threatening its ancient book collection. Workers at the Pannonhalma Archabbey are removing around 100,000 books for disinfection after drugstore beetles were found to be damaging the priceless volumes. They say the warming climate is to blame as it doubles the reproduction cycle of the beetles. (AP video by Bela Szandelszky).
