Chancellor vows to ease regulations to make financial sector 'fighting fit'
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has pledged to loosen the rules for finance firms in a move aimed at boosting Britain's middling growth.
Delivering the annual Mansion House address, she said there would be an easing of access to mortgages, "meaningful reform" of bank ring-fencing rules, and simpler regulatory approvals for smaller financial services companies.
She also managed a joke about the tears she shed during PMQs.
