US Senate passes $9B spending cut, public broadcasting at risk

The US Senate has approved a bill slashing $9 billion in federal spending, potentially ending funding for public broadcasting. The move follows intense pressure from former President Donald Trump, who urged Republican lawmakers to support the measure and warned of political consequences for those who didn't. Public broadcasters now face an uncertain future as funding hangs in the balance.

Al Jazeera’s John Hendren reports from Chicago.
