Will the presence of Syrian government forces inflame or calm the situation again? | DW News

The Syrian government is struggling to implement the ceasefire announced by interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa. Battles have again flared up between Druze fighters and Bedouin gunmen. Syrian army troops have re-entered the area in an attempt to stop the violence. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, more than 900 people have been killed and tens of thousands displaced in a week of fighting.
