Syria conflict: 30,000 trapped in besieged city of Sweida - as fragile ceasefire holds

The Syrian Government has begun tentative steps to gain control of the situation in Sweida, where a week of violent clashes is threatening to plunge the country into a renewed crisis.

About 30,000 mostly Druze people are thought to be trapped inside the besieged city of Sweida and surrounding towns, with no electricity, little internet and dwindling supplies of food and water.
