The International Court of Justice says healthy environment is a human right | DW News

The UN's highest court has ruled that climate change is an urgent and existential threat. It also said that greenhouse gases are unequivocally caused by human activity. The ruling came in response to a case brought by the island state of Vanu-atu. However, it is only an advisory opinion, which is non-binding. Supporters say the decision could still have major ripple effects on future climate legislation.
