'I like your PM': Trump praises Starmer as he touches down in Scotland

US President Donald Trump has arrived in Scotland for a four-day visit.

Speaking to reporters at Prestwick Airport, Trump repeated his criticism of France's Emmanuel Macron over a decision to recognise the state of Palestine.

One reporter asked about the issue of immigration in the US and the UK, but instead of criticising Starmer, Trump only had warm words for him.

"I like your PM, he's slightly more liberal than I am, but I like him," Trump said of Sir Keir Starmer.
