Syria’s coastal cities under fire as fighting escalates

Fierce fighting has erupted in Syria’s Mediterranean port cities of Latakia and Tartous, long considered bastions of the Assad regime. Syrian security forces have closed all roads leading to the cities as clashes intensify.
