Bangladesh marks revolution anniversary with pledges for reform | DW News

The interim government of Bangladesh marked the anniversary of Sheikh Hassina's fall with pledges for a stronger democracy and elections to be held in February 2026. Rallies, concerts, and prayer sessions were held in the capital as people celebrated what they called a "second liberation".
