Senior US and Ukrainian officials to meet in Saudi Arabia while Russian attacks continue

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky will travel to Saudi Arabia this week to seek to rebuild relations with Washington after US President Donald Trump cut critical military aid to Kyiv after an angry row in the White House between the two leaders on February 28.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Russian attacks are intensifying against civilian areas and on the battlefield, with a new apparent offensive in the northern part of Ukraine. France 24's correspondent in Kyiv Emmanuelle Chaze reports.
