Bank of England cuts interest rate but warns of higher inflation

The Bank of England has cut interest rates for the fifth time in a year to 4%, taking the base rate to its lowest level in more than two years.

But the Bank also issued a warning about higher inflation to come, with food prices set to rise in the coming months.
