Which countries have nukes? | DW News

The world has marked the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Meanwhile, an increasing number of countries are rediscovering that having nukes makes them powerful players on the global stage. There are still over 12,000 nuclear weapons in existence on the planet. According to The Federation of American Scientists, the exact number of nuclear weapons in the possession of each country is a closely held national secret.
