UN Security Council presses Israel on Gaza aid, US stands apart

All UN Security Council members—apart from the US—are calling on Israel to let aid into Gaza. They made a statement at the UN in New York a short while ago. Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports live from the UN headquarters in New York.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is believed to be holding a meeting at the White House on Gaza. Earlier, his special Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, said post-war plans for the Strip will be discussed. Witkoff also says the US expects the war to be settled by the end of this year. Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher joins live from the White House.
