Venezuela on Monday announced the deployment of 15,000 troops to the Colombia border to fight drug trafficking amid accusations from Washington that Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro is heading a cocaine-trafficking cartel. Three US warships have been deployed to Venezuela’s coast to step up pressure on Maduro. France24 International Affairs commentator Douglas Herbert explains.
