At-risk Afghans arrive in Germany | DW News

The German government has resumed its program of allowing at-risk Afghans to come to Germany. A plane carrying nearly 50 people -
mostly women and children - landed at Hanover Airport in the early afternoon. The 47 migrants are considered to be at-risk in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan because of their work, identity, or beliefs. They included 19 women, 20 children, and eight men. The German Foreign Office says some 2,100 Afghans who've been granted admission to Germany are stranded in Pakistan.
