Hindus bid traditional farewell to elephant-headed Hindu God Ganesha at festival

A massive crowd of devotees danced and followed giant-sized Ganesha idols which were paraded through the streets on Saturday before their ritual immersion in the sea that symbolizes sending the god back to his mythical home.
