'Nigel Farage is wrong, there won't be an early election,' Minister says

Angela Rayner's exit was quickly pounced on by Nigel Farage, who brought his Reform Party conference speech forward to address it.

He claimed Labour faces a split that could force an early election in 2027.

Darren Jones, chief secretary to the prime minister, responded to the claims on Sky News, saying: "Nigel Farage is wrong, the Labour Party is not going to split and there won't be an early election."
