Situation is calm in central Doha after earlier panic, fear: AJE correspondent
Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reports from Doha, Qatar. He says that the situation here on the Cornish in central Doha is calm now. He adds that but it’s fair to say that when we heard those explosions ringing out across the city, there was a great sense of fear. Stratford says we tried to get as close to the location as we could, soon after the attacks, [but] we were swiftly moved on by the Qatari police at the time.
Meanwhile, Qatar has called the attack 'state terrorism' and an act to sabotage attempts to achieve peace. Al Jazeera’s correspondent Resul Serdar spoke to the Qatari foreign ministry spokesman Majed al Ansari, who said Qatar will take steps to make sure such incursions do not happen again.
