Former Israeli PM defies Trump and says Israel would attack Qatar again

A former Israeli prime minster has warned Israel will attack any country that harbours anyone it sees as responsible for the death of Israelis.

Naftali Bennett told Yalda Hakim there would "no safe haven", adding: "You cannot kill Jews and think you can get away with it."

Israel launched a series of strikes on Tuesday, killing five Hamas members connected to the organisation's negotiating team at a property in Doha.

Earlier, the White House said Donald Trump had assured the Emir of Qatar that Israel would not attack its sovereign territory again.
