How are the Taliban's strict restrictions on women's situation in this disaster? | DW News
Nearly two weeks after an earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan, leaving parts of the region in ruins, thousands of people remain without shelter. They live in constant fear of landslides and aftershocks. The earthquake killed at least 2,200 people. Nearly 7,000 homes were destroyed. The World Health Organization has asked the Taliban to lift restrictions on female aid workers in order to provide better assistance to women who are struggling to access necessary care.
