Qatar hosts emergency summit as Arab, Muslim leaders unite against Israeli attack
Majed bin Mohammed al-Ansari, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, has said the summit represents the unity of the Arab Islamic ranks.
Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), says the summit and its proceedings reflect “the status, respect, and appreciation enjoyed by Qatar.”
He added that the summit affirmed the Gulf’s solidarity with Qatar and that an attack on any country is an attack on the entire Council.
Hossam Zaki, assistant secretary of the Arab League, said the summit sent a message to the world that Qatar is not standing alone. On the contrary, it enjoys wide Arab Islamic support
