Sen. Booker to FBI chief Patel: 'I am not afraid of you!'

New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker questioned Kash Patel's tenure as head of the FBI during a U.S. Senate panel on Capitol Hill, sparking a fiery back and forth between the two men.

Patel pushed back on questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee about his handling of the investigation into the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Patel drew scrutiny from current and former U.S. officials after inaccurately posting on social media on September 10 that the person responsible for the shooting was in custody. The actual suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was not arrested until the next day.
